In which I doubt the objectivity of the field of medicine.
I logged in originally to write about how lectures in med school tend to overgeneralize certain topics. Like how they say that disinterest in sexual intercourse one of the signs of a sexual dysfunction, when there are people who just prefer not to have sex for other reasons. And how defense mechanisms can be considered mature or immature, and that doctors "like you and me," says the lecturer, tend to have more mature ones (which I think is utter BS). Gray areas like those, which are arbitrarily organized just so that the faculty and students wouldn't have so much to fight about during feedback sessions after exams.

But I still have to study for an exam around eight hours for now, and the thought of that discourages me from thinking of other things.

I'll be back when it's relatively more forgivable to think of things other than exams.
