The past two days up north weren't so bad after all. I didn't even have to take in the antihistamines.

I went to school to enroll today. My classmates were there, most of them being all "I MISSED YOU!!!1!11one" and things despite being physically away from each other for just a week. Waited for my enrollment form to be assessed, and it was released fifteen minutes before the cashier closed for the day, so I wasn't able to pay today.

After that, I went to my dorm to get my Globe Tattoo thing, some index cards and pens that I needed for advanced study this sembreak. But I won't be studying anymore , it seems. I'm going out again tomorrow to pay tuition. That night, I'll be attending my sister's friend's birthday, something I'm anxious about. On Wednesday, I'll be seeing the doctor to have the lump (hopefully it's just a swollen lymph node) checked. Thursday is All Saint's Day, so we'll be visiting the cemetery. On Saturday, my niece is getting christened, and we might stay overnight at there place, which makes me even more anxious. It seems the rest of my break has already been planned. I miss those vacation days where I just stay home and follow my own schedule.

Right now, I'm trying to wrap my head around the alternate complement system. I started reading Immunology this morning upon receiving the schedule of lectures and exams. This is me studying in advance for the first module of the coming semester, and trying to start studying properly.

Lately, I've been using the times I wake up at 3 AM to take advantage of the speedy internet and download podcasts and videos of TED talks to listen to during rest of the day. In the mornings, I write in my journal about whatever weird dreams I've had, and then read books, the latest one being Franny and Zooey by J.D. Salinger. In the afternoons, I watch my downloads, clip articles and review for final exams I'll be taking next semester while waiting for dinner. This is the most activity-packed sembreak I've ever had so far.

As you could see, I've been staying at home doing solitary activities during my sembreak. It may seem sad compared to the grand adventures other people are having with all their friends and post all their pictures of Facebook and go on talking about them online.

It shouldn't bother me that I'm not spending my break the same way others are, because I do a lot of crazy extroverted stuff while I'm in school, surrounded by lots of people. One thing they're doing that I'd like to do as well is to travel, so I'd better fix my documents and do some research on places to go to. I'd just rather do it by myself.

The problem is I don't have any idea what to do with my break.

I'm not sure if I want to spend it just staying at home. I've got a huge TBR pile to conquer, but haven't had the attention span to do that. Same goes for trying to get a head start on lessons next semester. I could find things to do there like cooking or crafting, but I'm not sure if I could sustain those until the end of two weeks.

I really would like to go places I wouldn't get to go on school days, but I run the risk of making my younger siblings jealous. Also, I'm not fully confident about my capability to stay cool while I'm alone in public.

What do you suggest?
